Mohammed Bun Bida
Mohammed Bun Bida is a seasoned social development consultant with over 20 years of experience applying innovative strategies to advance Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), family health, birth spacing, social accountability, and child and family rights. He is a strong advocate for eliminating harmful traditional practices and negative faith-based beliefs that adversely affect women and children, including female genital cutting (FGC), early and forced marriages, and gender-based violence.
Mohammed is a founding member of the Faith to Action Network, a global coalition of faith- based organizations promoting family health and well-being. His leadership in policy and budget advocacy includes successfully coordinating a coalition of 15 CSOs to push for the operationalization of Ghana’s Act 852 of 2012, enabling the inclusion of clinical family planning methods in the National Health Insurance Scheme.
